Officials say tribal coordination helped smooth voting at reservation polling places

During the canvass meeting, board members noted that two polling places on the reservation required extra coordination and language assistance for voters who speak English as a second language. Paul said that through efforts by elections staff and cooperation with the tribe, voting at those locations went smoothly.

"...the through the efforts of of Hannah and Paula and the cooperation of the tribe that, we had a successful, you know, vote on the reservation," Paul said, describing outreach that included additional coordination and sensitivity to voter needs. Board members thanked staff for that outreach and said it contributed to confidence in the overall election process.
