Medford approves engineering and construction contracts for water‑line and 2024 street project

The Medford City Council approved two infrastructure contracts during its Aug. 12 meeting.

First, the council accepted a professional services contract with Myers Engineering for replacement of the water line and street from Highway 11 to West Cherokee Street on North 6th Street. The contract was approved with an amendment making the city a joint owner of the plans; Mayor Gary Bowen moved the contract and Councilmember Rick Cardwell seconded.

Second, the council approved a Construction Agreement with Evans & Associates Construction Co., Inc. for the 2024 Street Project. The motion was made by Vice‑Mayor Steve Zeman and seconded by Rick Cardwell; the record shows unanimous votes.
