Parks report: Days of '59 donations, equipment needs and maintenance estimates

Parks staff told the council that Days of '59 "went very well" and that volunteers Katie and Olivia Rigg collected $605.50 for the park; the Sue Lulf Memorial walk/run donated $1,000 to the park fund. The council discussed park maintenance needs, including picnic-table and bench repairs or replacements estimated at about $1,200 each.

Staff priced a batting-area netting solution — cable, poles and netting — at approximately $400 and noted it could be installed this fall. Council also discussed park cameras and identified a need for a new grill for National Night Out; no procurement actions were recorded in the minutes.
