Council thanks staff after water/wastewater certification; generators and lift stations noted as operating

The council noted that Dustin Sharkey had passed his Water/Wastewater certifications for the city. Councilmember T. Boulware moved (seconded by M. LaFleur) to pay Sharkey $200 per week from the EPF Water fund and $200 per week from the EPF Sewer fund effective immediately; the motion carried and the council thanked Sharkey for completing the certifications.

Operational updates included a passed stabilization pond test on July 23, ongoing lift-station 2 basket repairs and portable-generator work during power outages. Council recorded that generators functioned during outages at both lift stations and the water power plant, and that a lift-station basket and other materials remain to be replaced. These items were recorded as routine operations; no additional capital expenditures were approved at the meeting.
