CSEA negotiator thanks board for 'communication and transparency' after tentative deal

A representative speaking for the California School Employees Association said the union appreciated the district's communication and transparency during negotiations and thanked the board for support after the parties reached a tentative agreement.

"As the chief negotiator for, CSEA, I appreciated the back and forth, the communication, and the transparency that the school board and the district were offering us. And we're we're glad that we came to an agreement, a tentative agreement," the negotiator said, thanking Assistant Superintendent Sylvia San Martin and attorney Villegas for their support.

The comments were delivered during the special meeting's presentations; the board then opened and closed a public hearing on the agreement with no public speakers and subsequently voted to approve the tentative agreement.
