Board approves several second-read policy items, holds first readings on employment and conduct policies

The board considered multiple policy items. On second reading the board approved EFF (Family Services Account Charges and Collections), FEB (Selection of Architect), FG (Board Inspection and Acceptance of New Facilities) and FL (Retirement of Facilities). For first reading the board reviewed GBA (Equal Employment Opportunity), GBC (Staff Ethics), GBCA (Staff Conflicts of Interest) and GBCBA (Harassment in the Workplace), and also reviewed the JB Equal Education Opportunity nondiscrimination policy.

A motion from the policy committee moved to approve the second readings as presented; the motion carried. The first readings were held for informational review and will return for subsequent action as required by board policy.
