Select Board accepts resignation of Dr. Stephanie Shelburne; considers library trustee appointment

The board accepted a letter of resignation from Dr. Stephanie Shelburne, who resigned as chair and member of the planning commission and as the town’s emergency management coordinator effective April 9. The chair read the correspondence into the record and a motion to accept the resignation was made and seconded.

Separately, the board reviewed a letter of interest from Victoria Jeffrey to fill a library trustee vacancy through the next election. The library trustees reported supporting Jeffrey and the board discussed whether it could appoint to fill the seat until March of next year; members agreed to solicit letters of interest and to wait at least one meeting before appointing.
