Endless Mountains race seeks permission to use Stamford roads; board supportive

Representatives of the Endless Mountains Adventure Race sought permission for participants to pass through Stamford on a multi-day course in June 2026. Board members noted the event would mostly use public roads and National Forest land and said it was courteous that organizers asked for permission. The event was described in the meeting as spanning multiple days with roughly 35 teams of two-to-four participants expected and participants dispersed over long hours.

Board members raised logistics including signage for motorists and coordination with emergency services and the ambulance and fire department; they had no objection to the race using public roads. "They expect about 35 teams of 2 to 4 participants," S1 said while describing the event and its timing in June 2026.
