Commission discusses ADUs, mixed-use and infill options in draft housing questions

"As per state law, ADUs must be allowed," Committee member said during the housing discussion.

Attendees also debated mixed-use development, with examples given of apartments above storefronts; commissioners said such projects would still have to come through the planning process and might require bylaw amendments. The Presenter recommended keeping some questions to capture public sentiment but simplifying phrasing and using ranking scales for some items to aid analysis.
