Danbury approves IT service renewals and purchases, including Kronos Telestaff and Sophos endpoint protections

Director of Technology Services F. Gentile presented a package of IT procurements during the Board meeting. Gentile submitted a Kronos Telestaff maintenance requisition for $35,017.88 and a sole-source justification because Kronos is the proprietary developer; the Board approved awarding that maintenance to Kronos.

Gentile also recommended awarding VoIP and network configuration services to Total Communications under the State of Connecticut contract at a total not-to-exceed cost of $58,050 (hourly rate $193.50). For endpoint protection and the library firewall, Trebron Security proposed a 36-month Sophos Endpoint Security contract at three annual payments of $24,225 (total $72,675) and a 36-month firewall arrangement at three annual payments of $7,957 (total $23,871) under the TIPS cooperative. The Board voted unanimously to approve each item contingent on executing acceptable agreements.
