County schedules courthouse project community meeting Aug. 13; contractor to present cost figures

The board encouraged public participation at a community meeting about the courthouse project set for Thursday, Aug. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Crew Volunteer Fire Department. English Construction and board members will be present, and citizens will be able to ask questions of both the board and contractor.

"This is the community meeting for the courthouse project. This will be at the crew volunteer fire department, Thursday, August 13 from 5 to 7," the chair announced. Supervisor Bowen confirmed that "there will [be] dollar figures discussed that night" and that the contractor would "kinda give you an idea of what it will not exceed."

Board members said the meeting will include displays and information to help residents understand the court order and project scope, and they thanked Chief Schnapp for providing the meeting space. The board asked staff and members to promote the event to increase citizen attendance.
