Board moves into closed session to discuss courthouse construction and county broadband

Supervisor Tucker moved that the board adjourn to a closed meeting pursuant to Virginia law for consultation with legal counsel and to discuss public contract negotiations; his motion quoted the relevant statutory provision and identified the courthouse complex construction and the county broadband project as subjects of the closed session. The motion was seconded and the board entered closed session.

The board reconvened and each member present certified that only matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements were discussed. No action was reported from the closed session during the open meeting, and the board then moved to adjourn.
