Commission approves long list of school noncompetitive and labor appointments

Commissioners approved a consolidated set of noncompetitive and labor‑class school appointments including seasonal and part‑time clerks, food-service workers, teacher aides and several school‑bus drivers. The mover announced the appointments by name: "Jill Parker, part time clerk; Mary Speed, part time clerk; Jennifer Hall, Cook; Rebecca Lewis, Cook; ... Jeffrey Jones, school bus driver," and the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.

The commission also approved labor-class cleaner appointments and noted a completed probationary appointment: "We have a single item under a completed probationary period for a single head custodian, Stuart Whipple, effective May 9," staff said. Commissioners recorded the approvals as routine personnel actions and moved on to the rest of the published agenda.
