Board approves series of contracts and grants including community portal software and maintenance management system

The board took a package of consent and contract items July 30, approving technology, grant and vendor agreements aimed at county operations and program delivery. Notable items included a five‑year contract with Neighborly Software (FATE LLC) for a county community portal (not to exceed $192,000), a three‑year agreement with Brightly Software for a computerized maintenance management/work‑order system (not to exceed $318,767.42), and an amendment to the Central Square Technologies contract for the sheriff’s records management system (revised total not to exceed $1,362,533.19).

Other approvals included Quanta Meruit payments (small, vendor‑specific retroactive payments), a grant acceptance related to Vision Zero for the village of Clemmons, and authorizations related to airport project interest earnings. The motions were moved and seconded and carried unanimously minutes after staff briefings.

County staff said these systems support digital case management, work‑order tracking across general services/parks/airport, and grant administration; the board approved the package without division.
