The Fort Worth City Plan Commission voted to continue a request to vacate a short stub of San Shell Boulevard (VA-260005) so the applicant and Transportation staff can resolve right‑of‑way exhibit and signal‑retention issues.
Staff told the commission the applicant, Dunaway representative Mario Santos, and Transportation (TDS) remain in discussion about retaining a portion of the right‑of‑way for a planned signal at the intersection. A staff presenter said, “they’re still in discussion with transportation on the actual exhibit because transportation is requiring them to retain some of this right of way for a planned signaling in the intersection,” and recommended a continuance to allow those technical details to be finalized.
A commissioner moved to continue VA-260005 to the Oct. 8, 2026 meeting; a second was recorded and the voice vote passed unanimously. The continuance preserves the commission’s ability to act after Transportation and the applicant agree on the exhibit and any needed retention of right‑of‑way. The case will return to the commission on Oct. 8, 2026 for further consideration or action.
