Plan Commission approves waiver to keep historic 28‑foot cross section on Wisteria Court

The Fort Worth City Plan Commission approved a waiver to permit a 28‑foot cross section for Wisteria Court in the final short plat FS-25120 (Oakhurst), and conditionally approved the final plat pending response to staff comments.

Staff explained the application involved a three‑lot replat that would not change existing homes; the applicant, Forrest Nance, told the commission the street was originally platted in 1926 and that dedicating additional right‑of‑way would adversely affect existing lots and landscaping. “This road was originally platted in 1926, so right at 100 years ago,” Nance said.

A commissioner moved to approve the waiver to permit the 28‑foot cross section in lieu of the code minimum and to grant conditional final‑plat approval upon meeting staff report comments; the motion passed by voice vote. The approval allows the developer to record the final plat after satisfying the listed staff conditions.
