The Fort Worth City Plan Commission approved a waiver to the interconnectivity requirement for FS-26151 (Watan Lee), allowing the applicant not to extend Susan Kayleen to the plat boundary because the site is constrained by a railroad, Highway 287 and adjacent properties.
Cameron Kimball of Urban Infrastructure Group said the proposed development is a light‑industrial terminal under 10,000 square feet and described a roughly 200‑acre watershed area on the north side of the property that makes extending the road impractical. “We have a railroad on the north side… so our design and our development, we don't even want to touch that area,” Kimball said.
Staff recommended approval given the site's constraints, and a commissioner moved and seconded approval of the waiver and conditional plat subject to staff comments. The motion passed by voice vote; the plat will be conditionally approved once the applicant meets the staff report requirements.
