Members raised concerns that an upcoming roundabout construction project—scheduled to begin on the 3rd—could disrupt access to Lincoln Street School during the charrette and public sessions.
A committee member urged the group to include a construction advisory in reminder emails and to notify the police department so officers could consider assigning traffic detail or directing attendees to alternate parking. Committee members discussed wearing high-visibility vests and stationing volunteers to guide arriving participants to appropriate parking areas.
"We may want to add that construction starts this date," one member said about the reminder email, and the committee agreed it would be appropriate to give a heads up to the police department to prepare for possible detours and increased demand on side streets.
Organizers said they will add the construction note to the email reminders and coordinate with the police ahead of the public sessions.
