Board forwards 2027 capital projects list to budget meeting

The Board of Public Works reviewed proposed 2027 capital projects and voted to forward the entire list to the upcoming budget meeting. The package included filter valves and pressure-relief valve work, replacement of a case loader (estimated $25,000 for a used unit), aerial photo/GIS updates (city portion roughly $17,000), a cell center generator replacement, a digester pump and mixing upgrades, and a section roof replacement for the utility building.

Staff explained timing and cost considerations for each item and recommended grouping some work for efficiency (for example, performing valve work in winter to avoid duplicate mobilization costs). The board moved and seconded the motion to forward all the capital projects; the motion carried without recorded opposition.
