South Sanpete board holds public interviews and will pick replacement June 14

The South Sanpete School District Board of Education held open interviews to fill a vacancy created by a recent resignation. Chair (speaker 2) explained the process is required to be public under state code and said the board will make the appointment at its June 14 meeting; the chair also said the selected candidate could be sworn in that night.

Candidates were each asked the same six questions in rotation. The chair reiterated that Grant will serve until the conclusion of the June 14 board meeting and that the board will notify any selected candidate by phone if they are not present. The panel thanked the applicants for putting their names forward and praised the overall candidate pool.
