Developer outlines walkable ‘city center’ vision for 2700 N. & 600 W.

Dave Laloli of North Pointe Development described a vision for the site west of the existing plaza—a mixed-use, destination-style development with a large pedestrian plaza, outdoor dining, event programming (farmers markets, concerts) and perimeter parking. Laloli compared the concept to Farmington Station-style walkability and said the project would require sufficient business density to attract national tenants and careful zoning (C-2 vs. CPUD vs. mixed-use).

Council members voiced interest in creating a gathering place while weighing traffic and infrastructure impacts; they did not make any commitments. The presentation was exploratory: Laloli asked the city for a long-term partnership and high-quality design alignment but no formal agreements were offered.
