Cascade County Commission to hold private interviews after candidates decline to waive privacy

This morning the Cascade County Commission recessed its special meeting and said it will hold private executive-session interviews at 9:15 a.m. after two candidates declined to waive their right to privacy, a staff member told the board.

The staff member told commissioners that both the 9:15 and 10:30 candidates had been contacted about privacy rights and "neither one of them chose to waive their right to privacy," and cited Montana Code 2-3-203(3) as the basis for holding the interviews in executive session. The staff member asked that moving into executive session for the interviews be made part of the board's action.
