Avon officials sworn in; council completes organizational actions

Judge James T. Walther of the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas, Probate Division, administered the oaths of office at 12:00 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2026, to Bryan K. Jensen as mayor and to Jennifer L. Demaline (Ward 1), Anne Marie Etienne (Ward 2), Anthony F. Moore (Ward 3) and Scott C. Radcliffe (Ward 4).

Council President Brian Fischer called the organizational meeting to order at 12:10 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Avon Municipal Building and led the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting record lists council members Mary Berges and Michelle Patton present, as well as city staff including City Engineer Ryan Cummins, Planning & Economic Development Coordinator Pam Fechter, Law Director John A. Gasior, Finance Director Steven J. Presley, Safety Director Duane P. Streator and Clerk of Council Barbara Brooks. The meeting adjourned at 12:20 p.m.
