Approval for Lion's Club pancake tent held pending utility locates

Joe McDonald of Public Works raised a safety concern about the Lion's Club pancake breakfast tent: its installation requires large three-foot stakes to be driven into the ground, which could strike underground gas or electrical lines. He said he immediately submitted a request for utility locates and communicated the issue to Rich; approval to use that space will not be granted until locates are completed, which Joe said are expected by Monday.

Joe noted the Lion's Club planned to move in on Thursday, providing some schedule flexibility to accommodate the locate process. Committee members treated the locate request as a necessary safety and permitting step and did not approve final use of the site pending confirmation from utility locates.
