Fleming County adopts ordinance to create energy project assessment district

Fleming County Fiscal Court voted unanimously July 29, 2026, to approve the second reading and passage of Ordinance 26-1457, establishing an energy project assessment district (EPAD) under KRS 65.205 to 65.209. The ordinance authorizes assessments on improved real property to finance conservation and efficiency projects and designates the Fleming County Sheriff as the collector of assessments.

The motion for second reading and passage was moved by Magistrate Taylor Hunt and seconded by Magistrate Blake Price; the court recorded a unanimous vote.
