Christiansburg council certifies legality of recent closed meeting, votes 6-0

The Christiansburg Town Council voted unanimously to certify that a recent closed meeting discussed only matters lawfully exempt from Virginia's open meeting requirements, the council confirmed during a short session.

The clerk moved "I move to certify that the town council, the town of Chris Merrick meeting, and closed meeting, and the best of each member's knowledge, discuss only public business matters lawfully exempt from open meeting requirements by Virginia law, and only such matters as are identified in resolution to enter into a closed meeting," and the motion recorded a second.
