Manager reports on 0.33 acre‑foot water right, GPS of diversion points, and sampling

Manager Jody Defa reported on June 16 that Summit Engineering’s Mike Johnson contacted the district on behalf of Becky Hamilton, the previous owner of 1000 E Timber Moose Way, who still holds a 0.33 acre‑foot water right. Legal counsel McKay Murdock will follow up to clarify the owner’s intentions for the water right.

Staff met with the Division of Water Rights to locate and GPS all diversion points and photographed spring boxes. The crew completed a third round of manganese and PFOS sampling. Jody reported that all meters and fire hydrants have been entered into the Ziptility asset-management program and that crews are installing concrete collars around valves. She also said Lone Pine Spring may need an air-vacuum device to prevent air locking and overflow, and proposed connecting valves between Elk and Racoon Drive to increase flow in the event of a fire.
