Prairie Lights marks 20th anniversary with new two‑mile drive‑thru, over 5 million lights

The Presenter described Prairie Lights — Grand Prairie's holiday lights experience — celebrating its 20th anniversary at Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake. "This year with an all new two mile drive thru that features more than 5,000,000 lights in all shapes, sizes, and themes," the Presenter said.

A Resident added descriptive detail about the event's upgrades: "The lights are brighter. There's just more color. The tunnels are longer and brighter and have more interactive features," the Resident said. The Presenter noted a Holiday Village at the halfway point with a walk‑through forest of lights, seasonal music, carnival rides, food vendors and a photo opportunity with Santa through Dec. 23.

Prairie Lights opens nightly at 6 p.m. through New Year's Eve, Dec. 31; the Presenter recommended buying tickets in advance and using the FastPass option to shorten wait times on busier nights. For directions, prices and additional information, the Presenter directed readers to prairielights.org.
