BCDC approves June meeting minutes; executive session yields no action, meeting adjourns

At the start of the July 28 meeting the board approved the minutes from the June 23, 2026 regular meeting. Committee member (Speaker 3) moved to approve the minutes and the president (Speaker 1) seconded; the president called for the ayes and the motion "passed unanimously."

Later the president announced the board would convene an executive session at 05:15 to consult the board's attorney under Texas Government Code §551.071 on legal issues related to an interlocal agreement with the city of Boston (as announced). The public meeting reopened at 05:47; the president stated there was "no action coming out of executive session." A motion to adjourn was moved and seconded and the meeting adjourned at 05:47.

No formal votes on policy items or budget adoption occurred during this meeting; the board scheduled the next discussion of the budget for August.
