Mayor reports state accepted city audit; council accepts administration reports

Miss Phillips told council the June reports have been completed and distributed and that the city’s audit was accepted by the state; she said auditors made some suggestions the administration will consider. The mayor and other department heads offered brief updates and several councilmembers had no reports.

Council moved and voted 6–0 to accept the administration reports. Later, council moved to acknowledge receipt of the June monthly reports from the auditor and treasurer; that motion also passed 6–0. No financial details, dollar amounts or schedules for implementing audit suggestions were discussed at the meeting.
