Tarleton State intern thanks Calhoun County for extension internship experience

Nicole Brown, a Tarleton State University student, briefed the Calhoun County commissioner’s court on her 10‑week extension internship experience and thanked the board for funding the opportunity. "My name is Nicole Brown... I am truly grateful for this experience," she told the court, recounting hands‑on work with extension agents.

Brown said she assisted with programs including an environmental summer camp run with the YMCA, cooking camps, 4‑H activities, library programming and a property/proclamation tour. She told commissioners the experience confirmed her interest in extension work and provided practical training for a future career in agricultural services and development.
