Calhoun County approves interlocal RSOC cybersecurity agreement, authorizes IT director to sign

Calhoun County’s commissioner’s court approved an interlocal cooperative agreement with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC) to provide real‑time external network monitoring and alerts, and authorized IT Director Ron Reeder to sign the agreement on behalf of the county.

Reeder told the court the service is funded through legislative cooperatives and described how RSOC alerts will be integrated into the county’s existing CrowdStrike monitoring to correlate external and internal activity.
