Larchmont board adopts local law regulating gasoline service station convenience stores

After a brief public hearing on July 27, the Village of Larchmont Board of Trustees voted to adopt a local law amending the village code governing gasoline service stations and convenience stores.

The board first moved to declare itself lead agency for SEQRA review and then issued a negative declaration, finding that the proposed local law "will not have a significant adverse effect on the environment." Trustee motions to adopt the law were seconded and carried by voice vote. Mayor Bridgette Teresa Brennan confirmed the motions and the final adoption.

No substantive public testimony opposing or amending the draft law was recorded during the hearing. Village staff noted the environmental assessment form and draft law were included in trustees' packets for review, and the board proceeded through the required procedural steps before adopting the law.
