Waste Connections to raise trash rates 2.74%; authority to consider broader utility rate changes next meeting

Sherry Davidson told the Ringwood Public Works Authority that Waste Connections will increase trash rates by 2.74% in February and that customers will see the change on their March statements. The authority received the notice as an informational item; no vote on the rate increase itself is recorded because Waste Connections is the notifying vendor.

The authority also discussed possible 2026 rate increases for water, sewer and trash and directed Sherry Davidson to prepare a resolution for consideration at the next meeting. Davidson also reported that adding a QR code to utility statements has increased online payment participation. No dollar amounts or final rate changes for water and sewer are included in the minutes.
