Selectboard discusses town-issued phones and laptops for employees

Selectboard member Joe Deller raised concerns about town business being conducted on personal devices and suggested the town should consider issuing phones and laptops to employees who perform town work from home, including Selectboard members, the Road Commissioner, the Town Clerk and the Town Treasurer. The board agreed this is not good practice and asked staff to gather information.

Donna L. Bohannon was asked to check with Vicky Buswell to determine whether Buswell performs town-related work from home that would require a laptop or cell phone; Cary Sandvig will contact Rural Solutions for cost estimates on several devices. No purchasing decision was made at the meeting.
