The Roosevelt County Board of Commissioners completed audit of claims and recorded total payroll with workers compensation and unemployment of $879,162.59 and total claims and payroll for January 2026 of $1,117,205.69, as shown in the minutes.
Motions to approve periodic claims were recorded throughout February. For example, "A motion was made by Commissioner Marottek to approve the claims for February 19, 2026 in the amount of $150,702.91," the minutes state; Commissioner Oelkers seconded and the motion passed. The minutes also provide a detailed ledger of fund cash balances and list multiple oil-and-gas severance and royalty deposits for the quarter, including $284,352.88 to the General Fund and $219,612.50 to the Public Safety Fund.
County Treasurer Betty Romo reported investment interest receipts. The minutes show a wide range of fund balances and deposits to specialized funds (library, senior citizens, road and bridge funds, school retirement funds and others) that inform the county’s near-term budgeting and cash-management decisions.
