At the Feb. 10 regular meeting, the board "acknowledge[d] the retirement of Maintenance employee Brenda Abraham and to express gratitude for her 31 years of service," a motion made by Commissioner Oelkers and seconded by Commissioner Marottek that passed. Later actions recorded in February include approval of a six-month pay raise for Detention Center employee Tasha Fourstar and an annual pay raise for Sheriff’s Office employee Tyson Nelson; motions to approve those raises were made by Commissioner Marottek and seconded by Commissioner Oelkers.
In a Feb. 27 special meeting the board approved a new hire for the Detention Center (the minutes list the name as "Brandin Cantrell" and later as "Brendin Cantrell"), approved promotion and raise for Road Department employee Jonah Riediger (to E-5 Trucking Supervisor and Safety Coordinator), and appointed Erin Leondorf to the Board of Health to fill the Education board opening. All personnel motions were recorded as passed.
