District staff reported progress and several outstanding repair and equipment items at the treatment plant. Notable operational updates included that aeration tank #2 is online and the gravity belt thickener rehabilitation is complete. The district has not accepted work on the blended tank insulation; the coating manufacturer visited and Ramboll recommended removing the coating and respraying the tanks. Ramboll is working to provide a resolution for malfunctioning blended tank heat exchanger recirculation equipment, and site visits have been completed to diagnose slide gates in aeration tanks #3 and #4.
On the dryer and related projects, the Kason vibratory screener developed a small crack at the product discharge; manufacturer AKONA acknowledged the warranty claim and will provide a replacement frame (vendor-estimated lead time provided in the minutes). Both east thickened primary sludge pumps have been installed and AMAHA completed electrical connections with startup anticipated the following week. The manufacturer of building #8 skimming decant tank is expected to deliver in early August; work on building #8 equipment will proceed after receipt. Siemens noted it will provide a proposal for repairs to a digester tank leak and that the Siemens piping project has completed site remediation with outstanding punch list items.
