Danny Ullrich, who identified himself as a 47‑year Signal Hill resident, urged the council to inspect several properties he described as long‑standing public‑nuisance issues.
Ullrich read a list of exhibits and described one property at 2205 East 20th Street as "a hoarder's paradise, insect, vermin, rat‑infested, fire trap hazard" and asked the council and code enforcement to "open it up" and inspect the interior. He also cited an unfinished scaffold/eyesore on Saint Louis Avenue and a street‑level car‑rehab/resale operation that he said obstructs curbside parking and street sweeping.
Mayor Tina L. Hansen asked staff (Gobino and Greg) to collect Ullrich's contact information and begin discussions with him so code enforcement and other departments can follow up. Council did not take formal action at the meeting but staff committed to follow up with the resident.
