Council minutes certification notes different date than meeting header

The meeting materials for the Gila Bend Town Council special meeting list the meeting date and notice as July 28, 2026, but the certification block of the minutes contains language stating the certification is for a council meeting held on July 14, 2026. The certification is signed by Pat Riggs, Interim Town Clerk, and the minutes are attested by Mayor Tommy Sikes.

The minutes’ certification reads: “I hereby certify that the foregoing minutes are a true and correct copy of the Council meeting held on July 14, 2026, and that the meeting was duly called and posted and that a quorum was present.” The header notice and agenda identify the meeting as occurring on July 28, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. The discrepancy appears to be clerical in the posted minutes; the minutes themselves record actions taken at the July 28 meeting, including the Town Manager contract approval.
