Middlebury EDC agrees to refresh economic development website, demographics to be updated

The Middlebury Economic Development Commission agreed July 27 to update the Economic Development section of the town website after members said the demographics page is out of date and some images in the "living here" section are blurry. The commission met at the Shepardson Community Center Gazebo because Town Hall was locked; a quorum was not present and formal approval of minutes was deferred.

Chairman Jesse Langer and Secretary Terrence McAuliffe discussed specific items for correction, and Secretary McAuliffe volunteered to update the demographics page so it reflects 2026 figures and to replace or sharpen problematic photos. The commissioners also concluded the video backgrounder is unnecessary and should be removed or disabled pending the site's refresh. Further review of the site will occur at a later meeting when more members are present.
