County approves $2.896M state allocation and correctional services contract amendment

Brian Gomez of Correctional Services told the board the county is being asked to accept a Division of Criminal Justice allocation and an amendment to the statement of work for community corrections. Gomez said the allocation for state fiscal year 2027 is $2,896,275.21 and reflects a decrease of roughly $81,000 driven by adjustments to facility payments and a reinstated subsistence payment that the presenter said will be capped at $8 per day statewide.

Gomez explained nonresidential services account for part of the allocation and described nonresidential support as services for clients transitioning from residential programs into independent living with continued supervision and interventions. Commissioners had no substantive questions and approved the allocation and amendment by motion.
