Red Willow County commissioners approve consent agenda, authorize up to $750,000 transfer and $491,115.82 in claims

The Red Willow County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously July 27 to approve a consent agenda that included authorization to transfer up to $750,000 as needed from Inheritance Tax Fund 2700 to General Fund 0100 and to allow accounts payable and payroll claims totaling $491,115.82.

County Clerk Penelope Cooper asked the Board to add Resolution 1601 (Book 24, Page 108) to the consent agenda to permit the transfer; Commissioner Randy Dean moved to add the item and Commissioner Charles Fritsche seconded. The board then approved the full consent agenda, which also included minutes from prior meetings, a Special Designated Liquor License for Hurling Hatchets LLC, and a Road Occupancy Permit for McCook Public Power District. Roll call votes were recorded as Ayes from Ted Gans, Randy Dean and Charles Fritsche.

The claims the Board allowed covered multiple county funds. The meeting record lists a detailed set of vendors and payroll lines under the General Fund, Road Fund and other funds; the minutes show the grand total of allowed claims as $491,115.82. The Board reconvened other business after the consent vote and scheduled its next regular meeting for August 10, 2026.
