Council approves consent agenda and a slate of board and committee appointments

The council approved the consent agenda that included routine items such as minutes for the July 14, 2026 meeting, an interlocal agreement with the school district for school resource officers, acceptance of a wastewater easement tied to the Thunder Bay Lift Station project, a Title 5 ordinance amendment to update local limits for industrial users, renaming the audit committee, the investment report for the quarter ending June 30 and accounts payable and budget transfers for June 2026.

Council then considered a slate of appointments and reappointments to a range of boards and commissions. Ms. Peterson presented recommended candidates for the Building and Standards Commission, Library Board, Museum Board, Parks and Recreation Board, Planning & Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the 4A/4B economic development and TERS boards; council moved and approved the recommendations in a series of votes. The council noted terms begin July 1 and run through June 30, 2028 for many of the appointees.
