The Cedar Hill City Council approved its consent agenda by unanimous vote at the July 28 meeting.
The consent package included: approval of minutes for the July 7 special meeting and July 14 regular meeting; case FP8012026, a final plan for the Strauss land addition (Block 1) proposing 8,500-square-foot minimum single-family lots on a 1.709-acre tract generally located at 813 Strauss Road (applicant Norman Patton; property owner Frederick Brown); authorization for staff to draft an amendment to Chapter 23 (zoning) to add a manufacturing housing zoning district and map its boundaries; authorization to submit an application for rezoning of properties located at 541 Simmons Way; and authorization for the mayor to execute an updated interlocal agreement with the cities of DeSoto and Duncanville for regional fire protection services.
"A consent agenda includes routine items that may be acted upon with one single vote," the chair explained before taking the vote. Mayor Pro Tem Glover moved to approve items a through e as read; the motion was seconded and the council moved unanimously to approve the consent agenda.
No separate discussion or votes were recorded on the individual items at the meeting. Materials and specific plan documents (case FP8012026; applicant and owner names) were read into the record as part of the consent presentation.
