Cheyenne County public health reports two human West Nile Virus cases; vital records pass state inspection

Kelli Adamson, Public Health Director, told the Cheyenne County Board of Public Health on July 16 that there are two current human cases of West Nile Virus in Colorado and that cyclosporiasis cases are at a normal seasonal rate. The board noted the epidemiology update as routine surveillance information; no new local emergency orders were introduced.

Adamson also reported that a State site visit inspected Vital Records office processes earlier that morning and found no reported issues. Separately, Grant Coordinator Autumn Pelton has begun incident command trainings in preparation for the Emergency Preparedness Director position, a personnel and readiness step noted by the board.
