Larchmont trustees adopt local law regulating gasoline service station convenience stores

Trustees opened a public hearing on a proposed local law to amend the village code for gasoline service station convenience stores and solicited public comment; no members of the public addressed the hearing and trustees moved to close it.

The board declared itself lead agency for SEQRA review, issued a negative declaration determining the law would not have a significant adverse environmental impact, and then voted to adopt the local law as presented. The motions to declare lead agency, issue the negative declaration and adopt the law were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote with trustees recorded as ‘‘Aye.’’

A planner noted that the environmental assessment form in trustees’ packets was prepared by Packard Cleary, identified as the village planner, and described the standard steps for SEQRA and local-law adoption. No amendments were offered during the meeting and trustees moved forward with adoption the same evening.
