Resident raises questions about election reconciliation report and discrepancies

Beth Cummings told the commission she reviewed the election canvas reconciliation report and found what she described as a discrepancy of 56 votes. "In doing so... I came with being 56 balance actually off," Cummings said, and said the report she downloaded indicated only four precincts were reconciled while others showed differences she could not explain.

Cummings asked for a future discussion to review the reconciliation and offered to share her calculations with county officials to identify whether errors exist in the county's reconciliation or whether she misinterpreted the report. The chair acknowledged the comment and the commission did not take further action during the meeting; county election staff or the clerk's office may follow up to review the reconciliation report and address specific questions raised by the speaker.
