Council to stop sending postcards for most ordinances, will post notices in Lincoln Chronicle

The Chair told the meeting that the city will change its public-notice practice and stop mailing postcards for most ordinances, switching instead to posting notices in the Lincoln Chronicle as other Lincoln County cities do. "Following the meeting, though, we will no longer send postcards, but rather post in the Lincoln Chronicle," the Chair said, and framed the change as a cost-saving measure.

The Chair noted this change does not apply to land-use ordinances, which the Chair said will continue to be mailed per Oregon statute.
