Chair says pilot reform package is stalled by administrative obstacles

The chair said proposed pilot reforms are being delayed by administrative or bureaucratic obstacles, and urged action so the county can implement changes meant to address financial pressures and service needs.

"It's a little frustrating because we do we definitely need to be able to capture, get these reforms rolled out," the chair said, adding that the committee cannot move on some items because they are "stymied by some bureaucratic... doors." The chair said these reforms are intended to address financial issues for Shelby County residents and expressed a desire to keep the process moving.
